We would like to take you on a gastronomical journey, guided by a narrative sustained by the terroir of the river Douro, upriver and downriver, from the Douro International Natural Park, through the Alto Douro, to the mouth of the river at Foz do Douro.

Conscious of nature’s whims and the knowledge of the local community, this team favours endogenous produce and native breeds, and local producers, in an endeavour to balance tradition, skill and creativity.

We also bring to the table fresh produce from our organically grown vegetable garden. A place for cultivation, learning and respect for the cycles of nature and a commitment to the circular economy and sustainability.

We, therefore, invite you to join us in celebrating a Portuguese cuisine of comfort, with an elegant and personalised service, with hospitality as our conscience and the Douro terroir as our commitment.

All our prices include VAT and service. Customers will not be charged for any dish, food product or drink they haven’t ordered, including the couvert, providing it has been left untouched.
